Will others be able to lease the same beat as me?
The answer is Yes. The leasing option is great if you are on a stricter budget and plan to release independent material. It’s great to keep costs down and get a high return on investment. Also great if you want to make money doing shows. You can sell unlimited copies with our Unlimited Lease but the limitations are we maintain ownership of the beat and you are granted rights to use only on one project.
Why would I need exclusive rights?
Exclusive rights are for artists with a reasonable budget that plan on releasing a major/semi major project. Some of the benefits are that you own 100% rights to use the beat and no other artist may lease or purchase the beat. All lease rights purchased before you bought the exclusive rights will expire.
Can I use these beats on my album? Demo? Mix-tape? Website?
You can use the beats you buy the licenses to on here for your any project you wish. Leases are great for mixtapes, demos, and any website you share your music on. If you want to make it big with one of our beats its recommended you purchase an exclusive license so no one else can have rights to the beat.
If you downloaded the low quality tagged version of any of the instrumental track you can use it for NON-PROFIT purposes only. In other words you cannot legally make money off our beat. Failure to obtain a license from boiGeniusbeats.com will result in violation of copyright laws and depending on the severity of your violation a $30,000 minimum fine.
Can I sell the song(s) I make with these beats?
You can sell unlimited copies of the song with the purchase of a lease license.
Do these beats use samples or contain any copyrighted material? Do I have to worry about clearing samples?
Some of these beats DO contain samples, it is up to the artist/record label to clear samples.
We also have plenty of beats that are sample free that you can choose from as well.
Do I have to pay Royalties?Publishing Fees? Mechanical Rights?
You don’t have to pay royalties when you purchase a beat with a lease license. The only time you have to pay royalties is when you purchase an exclusive beat.
How long are the beats?
Each beat varies in time length. But you can trim off some time if it’s too long or if you are unable to do it yourself you can get us to do it for you for a small fee.
